Since the inception of BEDEC in the early 1970’s our first and foremost objective has been to produce quality water-based internal and external paints that out perform solvent based alternatives.
This emphasis on water-based products has greatly reduced our environmental impact.

Sustainable Production
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the paint itself. We use electricity for manufacturing and recycle both waste water and most waste materials.
Our supplier has certified our electricity as net zero carbon.
Minimizing Waste
We believe in using only the packaging necessary. Our main packaging, steel cans contain 80% recycled steel and can be fully recycled.
We are continually working to reduce our paper and plastic packaging to the minimum necessary.

The Future of Paint
We are currently researching the use of plant-based ingredients to minimize our environmental footprint. We already boast some of the lowest VOC levels in the industry, but we’re not stopping there – Our goal is a future with minimal VOC levels.
